UX/UI Designer – Hybrid (Maple Grove, MN | Arden Hills, MN | Spencer, IL)

📍 Location: Maple Grove, MN; Arden Hills, MN; or Spencer, IL – must live within 45 miles

🗓️ Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite

💼 Contract Length: 1 year

💵 Pay Rate: $43.89/hr

About the Role

Our client, a global leader in medical technology, is looking for a creative and detail-oriented UX/UI Designer to craft clean, intuitive, and user-friendly experiences for internal business tools and applications.

You’ll join a nimble, high-impact internal team that runs like a startup inside a global enterprise — focused on building solutions that make work easier, faster, and smarter for teams across the company.

What You’ll Do

• Own the full design process – from customer discovery and wireframes to prototypes and developer handoff
• Design dashboards, metrics pages, and tools with complex data visualizations that are clear and actionable
• Balance speed and quality – iterate quickly while documenting clearly and delivering dev-ready assets
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and business users to align designs with both user needs and business goals
• Maintain and improve design systems, components, and standards to ensure consistency
• Collaborate in MVP-style sprints to ship impactful features quickly while keeping a long-term vision in mind

Must-Haves

• Advanced Figma skills (components, auto-layout, prototyping, dev handoff)
• Familiarity with Bootstrap grids and components
• Strong UX/UI portfolio showing dashboards, business apps, or complex tools
• Experience designing for interactivity and data (charts, graphs, tables, UI components)

Nice-to-Haves

• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript or frameworks like Vue.js
• Understanding of REST APIs and user flows around dynamic data
• Agile or MVP team experience
• Usability testing and rapid prototyping background
• Familiarity with tools like GitLab, Jira, or Slack
• Experience shipping iterative designs in enterprise or internal tools
