Ski Check (Seasonal/Full-time)

Starting wage is $22.55 BOE

Reports To: Outfitters Manager

 

Job Summary/Essential Functions:

The ski check will be responsible for ensuring best-in-class member, guests, and prospect experience by providing personalized ski storage and organization. Such as managing member ski racks, ensuring that all member and guest gear is organized and available upon request, and offering a high level of customer service.

Job Duties:

  • Provides personalized and professional equipment storage for members and their guests including, but not limited to:
  • Managing equipment storage facility
  • Ensure Member rack is organized daily based on rsvp list.
  • Ensuring work is completed in a timely manner
  • Offering and executing all gear related member/guest request
  • Work with Outfitters staff to ensure the highest level of equipment need are met for all members, guest, and prospects.
  • Work with Outfitters manager to build and maintain all standard operating procedures.
  • Actively manage gondola plaza
  • Organize ski beach during down periods
  • Serve as “welcoming crew” for the Oaks ski area
  • Managing hardgoods lost and found
  • Demonstrate an exceptionally high level of customer service.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with all adjacent departments
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned or required.
  • Attends team, department and company-wide meetings.

Licenses and Special Requirements:

  • Binding certifications for all major binding manufacturers.
  • Strong understanding/familiarity with EasyRent and Microsoft software.
  • Strong working knowledge of past and current industry trends and equipment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Constantly changing work environment (location, remote, sound, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills are needed to succeed.
  • Ability to view, read, and interpret from various software, online and printed sources.
  • Visually inspect work areas for cleanliness, club standards, and safety.
  • Must be able to hear and react to emergency signals or communications.
  • Learn and enhance current and future software implementations.
  • Train subordinates on software and company programs.
  • Sit, stand, socialize, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, turn, bend, and move for extended amounts of time to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor winter environments.
  • Ability to supervise, empower, engage, and encourage a team.
  • Lift up to 50lbs occasionally, 25lbs frequently, and 10lbs constantly.

Classification: seasonal, full-time, exempt

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED equivalent or higher required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of three years in ski resort, ski/board shop setting preferred.
