Job Title: Unarmed Security Guard

Location: Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Compensation: Includes Medical, Dental, Vision, and PTO

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our residential property in Coney Island, Brooklyn. This position requires strong observational skills, a calm demeanor, and the ability to enforce building policies while providing courteous support to residents, guests, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to prevent unauthorized access.
• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols to maintain safety and identify any security or maintenance concerns.
• Greet and assist residents and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergency situations and escalate appropriately.
• Write accurate daily activity and incident reports.
• Enforce building rules and regulations, including noise control and visitor policies.
• Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV, alarms) and report irregularities.
• Collaborate with property management and maintenance staff to address tenant concerns and ensure a secure environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid NYS Security Guard License (8-hour pre-assignment + 16-hour on-the-job training).
• At least 1 year of security or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
• Must be professional in appearance, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and conduct frequent patrols.
• Familiarity with residential or mixed-use property settings a plus.
• Bilingual a plus (e.g., Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, etc.).
