Title: Sales Assistant Manager

Location: We are looking for a candidate to work in Houston, Texas.

Hours: M-F: 9AM - 6PM.

Essential Job Functions

• Meet the monthly and annual sales quota as designated by the manager.
• Organize workflow and ensure that sales team understand their duties and delegated tasks.
• Assist the Branch Manager in leading, supporting, and motivating sales team to achieve the overall corporate sales objectives.
• Understand customer needs and offer solutions and support.
• Train and coach the sales team by providing constructive feedback and monitoring employee productivity.
• Ensure the sales team to collect payment and perform data entry task in a timely manner, whereas maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction at the same time.
• Ensure that all employees adhere to Company policies and procedures.
• Visit customers and potential customers to provide support, information, and sell the Company’s products.
• Cooperate with accounting department to ensure the invoice payment is received in time.
• Coordinate urgent deliveries with the customer to accommodate their needs.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapport.
• Educate customers on how the products or services can benefit them.
• Input and update orders within the Company database accordingly.
• Maintain and safely operate the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy.
• Participate in the weekly sales meetings.
• Attend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend.
• Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
• Other duties as required from manager.
• Obligation to answer to all management as requested.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires the ability to drive for extended periods, sit in a vehicle for prolonged durations, and perform tasks involving data entry and order processing using hands and fingers.
• The role also involves physical activity such as walking, standing, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.

Noise Level: Normal to loud.

Location: Indoor in the office or at customer sites (restaurants, wholesalers, distributors, etc.), travelling

Other Requirements

• Basic level in English Reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Professional-level proficiency in Japanese (reading, speaking, listening, and writing) is required to perform essential job functions.
• To have and maintain a clean driving record in the latest 3 years.
• Pass the Sake Adviser course within 1 year of employment.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload.
• High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree and above preferred.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience required. 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Knowledge And Skills

• Basic mathematical knowledge - markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, etc.
• Problem solving skills.
• Time and priority management skills.
• Leadership skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Communications and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Japanese foods and sakes preferred.
