Their market focus is on public projects (municipal, K12, higher education, government) and a typical project will range between $10-40M.

Description

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and performance.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Manage contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other documentation.
  • Enforce safety and quality standards on job sites.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.

Profile

  • 4+ years of experience with a commercial general contractor
  • Ideally experience with public projects over $10M
  • College degree in construction management or engineering required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction
  • Understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques, local building codes and regulations
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Proficient in creating and managing construction budgets and schedules
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, including the ability to interpret contract documents, negotiate terms, and enforce contract requirements.
  • Capability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and construction teams
  • Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Sage/Timberline, Microsoft Project)
