Job Description

We are looking for a Product Data Scientist to join our product analytics team on a 10-month contract. This role will focus on driving end-to-end product performance across digital consumer products by defining funnel metrics, designing and executing A/B tests, and providing insights that guide product strategy.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL expertise, proven experience with experimentation and analytics, and a passion for using data to solve complex problems. This is a high-impact opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and shape the future of data-driven product decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Define, track, and automate key funnel metrics and KPIs.
• Design and execute A/B tests, including test design, instrumentation, and reporting.
• Apply causal inference and advanced statistical methods to validate results.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to identify opportunities and execute testing plans.
• Build dashboards, reporting pipelines, and self-serve capabilities for product performance tracking.
• Deliver ad hoc analysis to inform product roadmaps and unblock decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–7 years of experience in product data science, analytics, or related roles.
• Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, wrangling, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience designing and executing A/B tests and statistical analysis.
• Strong ability to define metrics and build reporting frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver actionable insights.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working across technical and business teams.

Nice-to-Haves

• Forecasting or time-series modeling experience.
• Knowledge of causal inference methods.
• Familiarity with tag and performance management tools.
• Background in financial or consumer lending products.

Location & Work Setup

• Hybrid : Mountain View, San Francisco, or San Diego preferred.
• Flexibility to collaborate across time zones.
