Job Summary:
Our client is an artisanal creamery in Petaluma providing delicious yogurts and cheeses across the country. We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Mechanic with experience supporting heavy machinery and ensuring maintenance schedules are hit.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee and perform critical maintenance functions that ensure the safe, efficient, reliable operation of dairy processing systems and facility equipment
· Contribute to the installation and improvement of production machinery
· Troubleshoot equipment, including electrical diagnostics, and coordinate with equipment manufacturers and service providers
· Oversee 1 employee, providing direction and learning opportunities
· Partner with the Operations Team to deliver updates on equipment improvements and maintenance
Requirements:
· Experience maintaining heavy equipment, ideally in a food or dairy manufacturing environment
· Ability to lead by example while collaborating across departments
· Proficiency in troubleshooting automated systems
· Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams
