Job Description:

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating employee enablement programs across the organization. This position supports learning and talent management needs specifically within an operations/manufacturing environment, helping to identify skill gaps, improve workflows, and foster leadership development. The role involves close collaboration with HR, plant leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to consult on learning and organizational development strategies
  • Conduct formal needs assessments and performance gap analyses using HR and operational data
  • Design, develop, and facilitate instructor-led training for both leaders and individual contributors
  • Develop and implement on-the-job (OTJ) technical training programs
  • Measure the effectiveness and ROI of learning initiatives through data and reporting
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as process mapping, change management, and career development
  • Contribute to strategic talent management practices including succession planning and competency modeling

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Education, HR, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in training design, delivery, and facilitation, including 2+ years working with e-learning and LMS platforms
  • 3+ years of experience in performance analysis and skills gap assessments
  • 1+ year of experience in organizational development or process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma a plus)
  • Experience working in or supporting operations or manufacturing preferred
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%
