Job Title: Estimator (Shell & Masonry)

Location: Coconut Grove, FL

Position Summary

The Estimator will specialize in shell and masonry construction, preparing accurate cost estimates for upcoming projects. This role involves analyzing project plans, coordinating with subcontractors, and preparing proposals that align with budgetary and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine shell/masonry needs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor bids for competitive pricing.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs for all masonry and shell components.
• Contribute to project budget development and cost-saving recommendations.
• Develop and present proposals outlining pricing, scope, and timelines.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, architects, and clients on requirements.
• Keep up-to-date with market trends, labor rates, and material costs.
• Maintain documentation of estimates and correspondence.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in shell and masonry estimating.
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and codes.
• Proficient in estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Onscreen Takeoff).
• Excellent math, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and remain detail-oriented.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with project management or construction supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software.
• Certifications in estimating or related fields (preferred).
