Our client team is trying to identify a Fullstack Engineer that can help the client build out their existing vendor website. They want to find someone that has experience with Okta integrations for identity and access management, as this will be used by the client. Need all of the tools listed in the job description - it was written by the Hiring Team. Java, Python, Node.js, React, etc. 40 hours/week. Want someone on the west coast, as the client wants them fully onsite in Newark, CA until they're engrained in the efforts. Travel could decrease from there. Contract will be 3-months with possible extensions from there.

Contract Description:

We are currently seeking a Full Stack Engineer - Contractor to assist our client with a new buildout of an old platform.

• Design, implement, and manage Okta integrations (SSO, SCIM, OAuth/OIDC) for user authentication and access management across a cloud-native platform.
• Lead end-to-end implementation of user provisioning, deprovisioning, and role-based access control (RBAC) across multiple microservices.
• Collaborate with backend (NestJS, AWS) and frontend (React) teams to ensure seamless, secure identity flows.
• Build and maintain reusable, testable, and scalable code across services and interfaces.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and own the Okta roadmap within the application architecture.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience (JavaScript/TypeScript), 2+ years hands-on experience with Okta integration (SSO, SCIM, OIDC/OAuth).
• Strong backend development experience with NestJS, Node.js, and AWS Microservices (Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito optional).
• Frontend proficiency with React (Hooks, Context API, functional components).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and secure API development.
• Familiarity with IAM best practices, RBAC/ABAC models, and security protocols.
