📍 Location

San Francisco, 5 days a week in office. Additive can cover relocation costs to the Bay Area.

About You

You're someone who loves working closely with customers and gets real satisfaction from helping them succeed. You know how to build strong relationships, solve problems quickly, and make people feel supported every step of the way. You're excited about joining an early team where you can wear a lot of hats, take full ownership, and help shape what customer success looks like from the ground up. You’re comfortable figuring things out on the fly, and you’re just as happy jumping into a customer call as you are drafting a new onboarding playbook or sharing product feedback with the team.

The Role

As our Founding Customer Success Manager, you'll:

  • Own the customer journey post-sale, managing onboarding, adoption, retention, and growth.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for key accounts.
  • Partner with sales to identify expansion and renewal opportunities.
  • Provide proactive guidance and support to maximize customer value.
  • Collect customer feedback and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to shape our roadmap.
  • Develop and refine customer success playbooks as we scale.

Requirements

  • You’re a generalist who loves taking ownership—this is an IC role (not a manager position).
  • 5-10+ years of experience in Customer Success or a related GTM role at an enterprise-focused startup.
  • Bonus if you've worked in a high-growth AI company and personally owned accounts that doubled in ACV.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with research, insights, or AI products is a plus.
