Job Title : Engineer IV - Adhesives & Sealants

Location : Orlando, FL (with travel to Winchester, KY and Hanover, PA)

Job Type : Full-time, On-site

Salary : $116,160 - $130,680/year + 7.5% annual target bonus

About the Role :

DSJ Global has partnered with a leading packaging manufacturer in seeking a highly skilled Engineer IV to support their Adhesives & Sealants (A&S) facilities. Based in Orlando, FL, and reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, you will lead major capital projects, champion safety, and drive continuous improvement across multiple sites. This role requires 25%-50% travel to facilities in Winchester, KY and Hanover, PA.

The Engineer IV will…

• Lead large and small-scale engineering initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Support maintenance excellence programs across all A&S facilities.
• Serve as project leader for major capital projects, managing budgets, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment, including vendor selection.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to identify skill gaps and assist in evaluating maintenance candidates.
• Maintain a broad understanding of Sonoco's processes, products, and machinery.
• Monitor project spending to ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
• Be flexible with work hours, including weekends and extended travel, to meet project objectives.

The Engineer IV should have…

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Plastics preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in the plastics industry, ideally in injection molding and profile extrusion.
• Hands-on experience with injection mold processing and troubleshooting.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, CAD, and project management software.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, automation, and PLCs.
• Proven project management experience.
