Credit Analyst Level 2/3 (1 Opening)

**Analyzes creditworthiness of new and existing counterparties and recommend credit limits; approve credit limits for new and existing counterparties**

The Credit Analyst handles the daily operations, applicable projects, training of new employees and reporting of the credit department which includes: new counterparty setups, credit limits on counterparties, contract reviews, customer inquiries, mentoring of others and monitoring of credit exposures. The ability to work in a team environment and possess an unwavering attention to detail are keys to success.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Analyzes creditworthiness of new and existing counterparties and recommend credit limits; approve credit limits for new and existing counterparties up to Delegation of Authority
• Processes issuance and amendments of collateral instruments
• Monitors credit exposure versus established credit limits
• Reviews and approves of counterparty contracts - new and amendments
• Handles counterparty inquiries related to internal and external credit exposure
• Produces reports on credit activities and operations

Education/Years of Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
• 3+ years working in a Finance/Accounting/Business environment for the Level 2 role
• 5+ years working in a Finance/Accounting/Business environment for the Level 3 role
• Preferred: A minimum of three (3) years oil and gas experience in a Finance/Accounting area

• Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
• Keen analytical skills, crucial for problem solving
• Able to mentor employees and provide feedback on operational improvements
• Detailed understanding of financial documents and ratio analysis
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from leaders and counterparties
• Dedication to meet timelines and quickly adjust priorities
• Preferred: Familiarity with the NAESB, Special Provisions, ISDA, Credit Support Annex, and ICE
• May be required to work overtime, including possibly working extended hours, weekends, and holidays as the need arises

Call Notes:

• Fundamental core skills are the same for both roles
• Credit Analysis- industry related field; O&G, Crude Oil, Power, LNG- ideally Natural Gas
• Avoid collections experience.
• Work independently and handle a portfolio. 300 approx. accounts- not all active at the same time.
• Dynamic pace of work. Organized and detailed.
• Responsible for monitoring ICE- daily trade platform.
• Non-negotiable skills- contract experience; being able to negotiate independently. Special provisions. ISDA. Level 2.
• Busy in Winter based on weather-based incident so they might work OT hours during busy season.
• Trade platform is Endure system- migrating to Paragon- SP*.
