COS / Personal and Executive Assistant for Statistician. (Upper West Side)
Statistician / Investor seeks Chief of Staff / Executive and Personal Assistant to support him and his family. This role is comprehensive in scope and involves the oversight of the primary residence in Manhattan and their home on Long Island. There is also regular communications with the Principal’s accountant, financial planner, lawyer and house staff. The work is mostly remote with in-person meetings once a week. The candidate should have an excellent academic record and be able to assume responsibility for high-level management interfaces as well as doing standard assistant-type work like research, travel planning, and keeping calendars. Some of his work is based in China: knowing Mandarin is a plus but not required.
Requirements
- BA/BS from a highly competitive US college
- An academic sensibility is preferred but not required
- Minimum of 10 years in Chief of Staff, Operations, Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant positions. Comparable experience may be considered
- Demonstratable Project Management skills
- Experience with home renovation and interior design
- Ability to manage the family’s finances
- Familiarity with NYC
- Excellent writing ability
- Ability to represent Principal with advisors and vendors
- Problem solving capacity
- Familiarity with high-net-worth individuals
Responsibilities
- Household Management including organization, preparing one property for sale and the renovation of a separate one
- Staff and vendor management: sourcing, full hiring cycles and proposal reviews
- Keeping the Principal’s and the family’s calendar
- Travel planning, mostly international
- Identifying leisure activity choices such as restaurants, plays and shops
- Researching resources for his two (11 and 14) children
- Acting as the primary contact for professional associates including accountant, lawyer, financial planner and the Director of his charitable foundation
- Driver’s license and clear driving history
Monday-Friday 9-5 (blend of remote and onsite) with some availability with limited additional hours if needed
$175K-$200K/year
