About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Billing Supervisor to lead a team of billing professionals in delivering timely, accurate, and contract-compliant invoices to our valued customers. This is a 100% onsite role, ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, driving performance, and improving processes in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

What You'll Do

As the Billing Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day billing operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all invoicing functions. You'll coach and lead your team, implement billing policies and SOPs, and work cross-functionally to resolve complex billing issues.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Supervise, train, and support the billing team, including scheduling and performance management.

🔹 Ensure accurate and timely invoice preparation, billing adjustments, and discrepancy resolution.

🔹 Set performance targets, monitor department KPIs, and recommend improvements where needed.

🔹 Identify and correct billing discrepancies by reviewing system reports and applying SOPs.

🔹 Collaborate with leadership across finance, operations, customer service, and credit & collections.

🔹 Handle escalated billing questions or exceptions, applying sound judgment and discretion.

🔹 Ensure proper processing of cash receipts and posting to customer accounts.

🔹 Maintain documentation and enforce compliance with corporate and regional billing policies.

🔹 Contribute to the development and enhancement of billing workflows and training programs.

🔹 May perform or oversee manual billing for complex, non-standard contracts.

🔹 Support audits, reporting needs, and other finance-related initiatives.

🔹 Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

✅ 3+ years of billing experience, including 1+ year in a supervisory or lead role

✅ High school diploma or GED required

✅ In-depth knowledge of billing operations, compliance, and system-based invoicing

✅ Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation)

✅ Excellent organizational and communication skills

✅ Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of coaching and mentoring staff

✅ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment

✅ Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail

✅ Ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
